Artistic Director and choreographer, Julia Levina has a long list of performing and choreography credits. Julia grew up in Lviv, Ukraine where she studied dance at Lviv State Ballet school for 8 years and then taught for an additional 5 years. She went on to become a principal dancer for the Aquarius Dance Company in Ukraine and toured the world.

While touring, Julia dreamed of forming a ballet company for young dancers. She founded a very successful dance company in Ukraine, but shortly after its inception, she and her family had to leave because of the uncertainty of the political climate.

Julia has been in the United States since 2000 and rekindled her dream. She has been showcasing her original choreography since 2001 with Dance Arts Centre competitive teams and since 2003 for La Danse Fatale Ballet and Performing Arts Company.

Her goal is to focus on dance as an art form for these young dancers — embracing performance-based dance rather than competition style. Julia hopes to instill the concept that “dance is about expressing oneself through movement, what one cannot express with words.”
